Attractions

Table Mountain

Only a short trip from Camps Bay, Table Mountain is a must visit destination. Take the cable car to the top where the views of Cape Town are truly inspiring. Walk around the mountain top and enjoy its natural beauty and then relax with a cold drink and a bite to eat.

V&A Waterfront

You can spend a full day here and still not get to see everything. The V&A is a mix of residential and commercial properties and has some 450 retail outlets including fashion, homeware and jewellery. A great selection of bars and restaurants will keep you fuelled for the day and there’s always something going on with many entertainment activities and shows hosted in the street squares. The V&A is also still a working harbour and the boats bring fresh fish in each day.

Robben Island

A short ferry ride from the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island is just under 7km off the Cape Town coastline. Robben Island is famous as the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of the 27 years he was in captivity.

Stellenbosch Wine Routes

Only 45 minute drive from Camps Bay, Stellenbosch was the first wine route established in South Africa in 1971. Surrounded by beautiful mountains this 19th century village takes you back in time. Visit one or more of the many wine tasting rooms, try some of the local chocolates or cheeses and of course the biltong (dried and cured meat).

Castle of Good Hope

Built between 1666 and 1679, the castle is the oldest colonial building in South Africa. If you like architecture and history then a visit to the Castle of Good Hope should be on your ‘to do’ list.

Cape Town Explorer Bus

This full day tour takes in all the main attractions in the Cape Town area. An English speaking guide will explain about all the places of interest whilst you enjoy the comfort of this luxury air conditioned bus.

Shark Diving in Gansbaai

Gansbaai is known as the ‘great white shark’ diving capital of the world. About 165km southeast of Cape Town, it will take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes by car. There are several companies who offer the shark diving experience and some of them even offer a pick up and drop off bus service for those of you who don’t want to drive.

A day at the beach

The Camps Bay area has a nice selection of beaches including Clifton Beach, Camps Bay Beach and Glen Beach. A little further along the coastline is Llandudno Beach and if you want to explore then the Cape Town coastline has many other beaches.
